Burns, Reid & Piergianni take home End of Season Awards

30 April 2024

The Stevenage FC Supporters’ Association End of Season Awards took place after our final game of the season on Saturday…

Capping off another impressive season, with Stevenage finishing ninth in their first season back in League One, three awards were up for grabs at the 2023/24 SFCSA Awards.

On loan from Manchester City, 20-year-old Finley Burns was crowned Young Player of the Year (in memory of Pitbull, former SA member) after becoming a mainstay in the Boro’ midfield, making over forty appearances in all competitions.

Continuing where he left off after an impressive 2022/23 campaign, Jamie Reid’s goalscoring form unbated into League One, scoring eighteen times and earning his place in the division’s Team of the Season. Adding to his newly acquired Northern Ireland caps, Jamie Reid was named Stevenage FC Players’ Player of the Year.

Following on from last season’s pair of awards, Carl Piergianni was rewarded for his performances again this season, named our Supporters’ Association Player of the Year. Almost ever-present and a rock at the centre of the Stevenage defence, the skipper passed the 100-appearance mark for Boro’ in April.
